Dr. Naohiro Ii is Associate Professor at Osaka Prefecture University. He took his masters degree, master of laws and doctorate from Kobe University. Before joining Osaka Prefecture University, he was a teacher at Ikeda Senior High School, a secondary school attached to National Osaka Kyoiku(Education)University. Among his expertise are Social Studies, Law and Education System for Education, UNESCO Education for International Understanding.

DR. FELIECE I. YEBAN
Dr. Felicia 'Feliece' Yeban is Professor of Human Rights Education (HRE) at Philippine Normal University (PNU). She currently serves as Dean of the College of Graduate Studies and Teacher Education Research. Prior to her current post, she also was Vice President (VP) for Finance and Administration, VP for University Relations and Advancement, and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Behavioral and Social Sciences. Dr. Yeban earned her PhD in Development Studies from De La Salle University. She obtained her Master of Arts in Education with Specialization in Social Science Teaching at PNU and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Philippine Christian University. She was also a scholar on Law and Literature at Yale University under the Yale-China Program. Dr. Yeban is a feminist and a human rights advocate. She served as Deputy Chair of Amnesty International Pilipinas and member of the Board of various human rights education organizations in the Philippines and abroad. She also served as consultant to the United Nations, UNICEF, Asia Foundation, Jimmy Carter Foundation, Equitas, Adam Foundation, Aquino Center, OPAPP, and the Commission on Human Rights. She authored numerous books and articles and conducted research studies on human rights education, peace, women, critical thinking, social science education, development, business and human rights, and democracy education.

Prof. Dr. Helius Sjamsuddin is Professor in History at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), where he also served as Secretary and later on Chairman of the Graduate Studies in Education Program. He finished his Ph.D. in History at Monash University in Australia and Masters in European and Modern American History at Northern Illinois University, United States. He took his undergraduate degree from Universitas Padjadjaran, Bandun Indonesia. His expertise include history, history education, and social studies education.

PROF. DR. HELIUS SJAMSUDDIN

DR. LEAN HENG CHAN
DR. LEAN HENG CHAN is a popular educator and an Associate Professor at the School of Social Sciences at Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang, Malaysia. Her areas of involvement are concerned with working for social change: participatory research, gender, labour, NGOs and capacity building for sustainable participatory development. She is especially passionate about engaging with practitioners and communities for transformative change and has been active in participatory capacity building with various grassroots, local, regional and international people-centred organizations for over 30 years. She is involved with various networks to foster engaged scholarship. She is founding member of the Academe Civil Society Network in Asia, and serves in the exco of a global network of networks: Global Alliance of Community Engaged Research. She has also undertaken engaged research collaborations with various community groups and consultancies with Commonwealth Foundation, Graile International-Training for Transformation Program, Action Aid-UK, UN-ESCAP, UNESCO-APEID, ICAE, HIVOS, the World Bank, IDRC and SEMEO-INNOTECH.
